Condition :-

Surface Quality :-
Visual examination shall be carried out to ensure freedom from harmful surface defects.

Localized spot dressing shall be done to remove surface defects, if agreed by customer.

Identification :-

Each and every bar shall be identified by the grade's color code at one cross section. The heat number shall be painted on the surface of minimum of 10 % of bars in the bundle.
45 mm diameter to 90mm diameter :
Each and every bar shall be identified by the grades color code on one cross section and heat number.

Each bundle shall be identified by a metallic tag giving details of heat number, grade,section, length and customer's name/shipping marks.

End Cut :-

Bars from 25mm to 42mm diameter shall be COLD SHEARED and bars from 45mm to 90mm diameter shall be HOT SAW CUT.

Packing Options
Material shall be supplied in bundles of 2.5+/-0.5 MT and tied with signode strap or wires.

Product Testing

Test Certificate :-

The Test Certificate shall include the following details :

Challan number and date.
Heat Number
Grade
Section (size)
Quantity
Supply condition
Chemical composition
Mechanical properties (YS, UTS, % Elongation, % RA and Hardness).
Section quench test for 400 series.
Special requirements if agreed at the time of accepting order.

Special Requirements :-
The basic guidelines are given in Certification table.

Technical requirements other than those stated above shall above shall be accepted After Contract review.
